CNY HOLIDAY

It was not really planned actually. I was just asking few friends to get out of KL during CNY. Just don't want to be in KL... few places was suggested, Cherating, Perhentian, Cameron Highland... finally we settled with Kuantan & managed to get a chalet at Beserah. And it was supposed to be 4 of us but one of us decided not to go. So it was 3 of us... me, dibah & Zarimah.

1st day

We left KL on 10/2/13 at 11.00 am... the traffic from KL to Kuantan was really smooth. We take our own sweet times. We stopped at Temerloh for ikan patin and we reached Beserah around 4.00 pm. We supposed to stay at Duta Sands Resort but then was transferred to Duta Village Resort. The room was ok... we had to request for extra bed.

After putting our bags in the room, we immediately walked to the beach. Alhamdullillah the weather was really on our side.... cold, windy & cloudy. It was also drizzling.... It was really a nice weather to walk at the beach... really i found it so peaceful & serene.... i can't remember when was the last time i walked at the beach & really enjoy the scenery. The beach was quiet actually.....

The first nite we went to Kuantan, Tg Lumpur for dinner. We had ikan bakar at one of the stall there. There were really so many people. Not bad anyway our dinner.  We reached the hotel, slept early because we planned to walk on the beach the next morning after subuh.

2nd day

We woke-up really early, exactly during azan subuh... looked outside it was still dark when everyone had performed their subuh prayer. It was raining outside.... around 7.00 am, we can see the light outside. So we decided to go out... no matter what.... We walked at the quiet beach, hoping to see the sunrise. But it was still drizzle and no sun coming out.... I really enjoyed that morning walked. Watching the miracle of Allah creation. And so blessed to be given the opportunity to enjoy the moment. The sea, the beach, the cloudy sky..... alhamdullillah.

Then we headed to dining area, had our breakfast... go back to our room & planned for other activities. All of us were craving for kerepok lekor... so we decided to find kerepok lekor, our fav. food during our schooldays... Kuantan was famous with kerepok lekor during 80s. All the way to Kuantan we looked for kerepok lekor. So difficult to get it... we went to Telok Cempedak... the beach was crowded with people but no kerepok lekor. We headed to Tg Api... found a stall selling kerepok lekor. A bit frustrated, the taste not as what we expected. Not giving-up, we headed to Tg. Lumpur to get kerepok lekor at Mokna stall, seems famous in Kuantan. Worst.... the kerepok taste was really bad.

After that we went shopping in one of the shopping complex in Kuantan...... at night we had dinner at the restaurant nearby only. Praying that tomorrow morning we can watch the sun coming out.

3rd. day.

We woke-up early for subuh prayer.. while waiting to see the light outside we guling2 on the bed. Around 7.00am we can see the orange colour coming out... we quickly rushed to the beach, hoping to see the sun-rise.... eventhough the sun did not shown itself fully, but the orange color coming our behind the cloudy sky it was really amazing & wonderful... I really enjoyed the view. The reflection of the risen sun on the beach was really beautiful... love it every single moment.

My lips non-stop recite zikir while watching the really beautiful view. Subhanallah, Allahuakbar... His creation was so great & He gave me the opportunity the enjoy His beautiful creation was really a blessed to me.

Then we had our breakfast & decided  what to do next before heading back to KL. We were supposed to meet-up with our friends Naim & Shamsiah... but the two cannot make it early. Suddenly we remembered of a friend who stayed in Kuantan & we have not seen her since left school. We decided to give her a call. Got the no. from Hazmal & i called her. She was also my bestfriend during form 4 & 5. We decided to go see her... yes we did.... after 32 years we meet again at last.

Then heading back to KL.... when reach tol Bentong... we saw the traffic was not moving... Dibah decided to make a detour, used Karak & somewhere of N9 route. We reached KL at 7.00 pm. Dibah dropped me at Zarimah's house & Za send me home cos Dib got to turn back to go back to Seremban.

Overall... alhamdullillah.... it was really a great holiday with friends...  everything goes well eventho it was only last minute planned.

Thank you my friends.
