Not So Young - Not Old Yet

She is 53 today.... not so young anymore & not so old yet.... "just nice", she thought & smiled at herself in the mirror. She touched her face, looking for wrinkles.... yes "one, two, three.." she counted & noticed under her eyes. She kept smiling.... remembering how some people said she look younger than her age, 5-7 years younger.... "wow, that's ridiculous..anyway alhamdullillah", she said out loud.

A sound came from her phone, she knows, that will be a text message from her dear husband, because the sounds came from wechat application, which she used to communicate only with him. She read the text, smiled & replied. A well wisher from her husband & apologized for not being able to celebrate her birthday today & promised her to celebrate it later... 

She get dressed, get ready to work....how she wish today is non-working Saturday.... she just want to be at home.... normally, previous years on her birthday she will take leave (if its fall on working days), but since taking leave on Saturday is not a smart move, she had to let go her routine. She love to be home on her birthday, do some thinking, soul-searching, having a quiet time by herself & normally going out for birthday dinner only later with family.

Today she had to got to work.... which she really dragged herself to do it... "never mind, half day only.." 

53, she prayed for more years to come, to fill it up with worshipping Allah & good deeds. InsyaAllah.
